Dresdner Bank Group selects Accelio Corporation product to automate their credit worthiness scoring and rating process; Deutsche Bundesbank implements Trema's Finance KIT 5.0 to manage its foreign currency reserves; KBC Bank NV uses SunGard eProcess Intelligence's intelliMATCH to match and reconcile securities items and related cash.

Dresdner Bank Group has selected Accelio Corporation, a global provider of Web-enabled business process solutions, to automate their credit worthiness scoring and rating process.

The solution, known as ELBA (Elektronische Bonitats-Analyse), works in conjunction with the banking group's current credit system and has been in use since the end of 2001. Based on Accelio Integrate(TM) technology, Dresdner Bank has implemented ELBA within their private and business banking practices. The Accelio solution consists of an automated rating and evaluation system for potential credit risks which determines individual risk factors with a complex rating and scoring algorithm and matches them with a number of predefined parameters.

In addition to the initial development of ELBA, Dresdner Bank is now working with Accelio on future additions to the system, as well as extending and modifying the system for use within their corporate customer business and a specialized service for financing of private construction projects (home loan financing).

"After successfully working with Accelio data capture technology for several years and after being convinced by their product range as well as their integration abilities, we entrusted Accelio with the development of the ELBA system," said Wolfgang Kussler, head of the Workflow and Data Processing Systems for credit transactions in the private and business banking sector at Dresdner Bank. "We are very satisfied with the results--as far as we know no other financial institution can offer such a comprehensive solution for automated credit worthiness scoring and rating."

Deutsche Bundesbank, the central bank of the Federal Republic of Germany, has implemented Trema's Finance KIT 5.0, a pre-configured central bank solution, to manage its foreign currency reserves.

Deutsche Bundesbank operates as part of the European System of Central Banks (ESCB), which is composed of the European Central Bank (ECB) and the national central banks of the 15 Member States of the EU. The Bank already uses Finance KIT, as do all 12 national central banks in the Euro system, for the management of reserves on behalf of the ECB. The Bank has extended the use of Finance KIT to include the management of its own foreign currency reserves. This provides significant flexibility and leverages Trema's and the ECB's investment in central bank specialist functionality.

Deutsche Bundesbank took Trema's pre-configured central bank industry product, sharing a broad common configuration with the ECB and the Bank of Greece who are already live with this solution.

The Bundesbank has finalized the implementation of front and middle office functionality. The team is now working on the back office, which includes Settlement HUB, Trema's new system for managing, formatting and routing settlement messages via S.W.I.F.T. Once this stage is finalized, Deutsche Bundesbank will fully benefit from the true straight-through processing capabilities of Finance KIT.

KBC Bank NV, Belgium, will use SunGard eProcess Intelligence's intelliMATCH to match and reconcile securities items and related cash.

KBC will implement intelliMATCH in its head office in Brussels, Belgium, to reconcile cash and securities in its securities back office for both retail and capital markets transactions. KBC now has the ability to import SWIFT messages as well as its own files and can easily develop customized matching rules that support its unique business needs.

"KBC chose intelliMATCH because it met most of our requirements for a best-of-breed matching solution," said Walter Mees, senior manager of the custody department at KBC "We feel that the solution will be easily self-managed and self-supported with little intervention from SunGard eProcess Intelligence--another important factor in the decision to invest in intelliMATCH."
