** Robinson Promoted At Fifth Third

Joseph Robinson was promoted to director of the central operations division at Cincinnati-based Fifth Third Bank. Robinson previously served as SVP of enterprise solutions and was responsible for companywide IT platforms.

** Strassle Named Saxo CIO

Tobias Strassle was appointed CIO at Saxo Bank (Copenhagen). He joins Saxo after a six-year career in global senior IT executive roles with UBS Investment Bank. Ole Rossing, who served as the bank's CIO and chief developer of its front-line systems, will continue to manage Saxo's global software departments and will retain an executive role as vice CIO of the IT group.

** Gaasche to Head SunGard Division

Former COO and CFO Ted Gaasche was promoted to group CEO of SunGard Availability Services (Wayne, Pa.).

** Bohlen to Lead IT At Wincor Nixdorf

Wincor Nixdorf (Paderborn, Germany) hired Jens Bohlen as SVP of the company's worldwide IT services business with banks and retail enterprises. Most recently, Bohlen was responsible for technology management services for EMEA at Hewlett-Packard.
