Executive Changes

James Hollands appointed sales manager of Financial Objects; Kjerstin Hande named director of sales for Nordic Financial Systems; DTCC appoints new managing director and managing director of asset services; Signature Bank revamps management team.

The London-based Financial Objects appointed James Hollands to the position of sales manager for their company activebank2 in the United Kingdom. His responsibilities will include assurance of quality in each step of activebank2's development in the United Kingdom. Hollands was previously employed by Application Networks where he sold to top tier investment banks as European sales manager. Prior to working at Application Networks, Hollands was employed at WhiteLight Systems as sales manager for the European banking sector.

Financial system service provider Nordic Financial Systems has appointed Kjerstin Hande as director of sales. Hande will be responsible for selling NFS's services to global corporate treasuries. Before joining NFS, Hande was senior vice president of ABB Financial Services AS, a Norway-based consulting group.

The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) Board of Directors have recently elected James V. Umberger to the position of managing director and James Femia to the position of managing director of asset services. Umberger's new responsibilities will focus on the DTCC's application landscape domain. He joined DTCC's depository in 1991 and in 1996 was promoted to VP of Systems Infrastructure, and has also been involved in various key management assignments in the company. Femia joined the company in 1987 as a participant service representative and has been promoted to director of Underwriting and afterwards to vice president of Product Management in 2000. Before joining DTCC, he worked in sales for the Dial Corporation.

Frank Mark, Stephen Reinhardt and Morris Danon have recently joined Signature Bank's new Long Island location as senior vice presidents and group directors. Martha Stark and Bruce Watterson have also joined as vice presidents and associate group directors. Mark and Reinhardt were previously vice presidents at EAB and both worked in Mineola. Prior to joining Signature Bank, Danon was a senior vice president and Northeast regional manager for Mellon Bank and has a long history of working in the banking industry. Stark was the Northeast regional development leader for the accounting and consulting firm of BDO Seidman before coming to Signature Bank. Before coming to Signature, Watterson was a vice president and private banker at CitiGroup's Jericho, NY office.
