Huntington Bancshares Upgrades Its Online Banking Technology

Huntington Bancshares, with the help of Corillian and eBank, makes Internet banking easier and more reliable for its customers.

Huntington Bancshares has upgraded its online banking service in coordination with Corillian, a provider of eFinance solutions, and e-Bank, a software and services technology company specializing in solutions for financial institutions.

Customers of $26 billion Huntington now have access to enhanced Internet banking services that make banking online easier and more reliable. Some of the new features include integrated phone and Web bill payment, real-time balance information and transaction history, seamless integration with financial management software as well as the ability to transfer money from credit products to deposit products. Additionally, customers receive secure message-alerts to signal if their balances are low or if bills are due, and they can view check images online.

The new online banking system allows Huntington, for the first time, to leverage key technology investments made over the past two to four years, such as networking, imaging, integration technology, messaging and CRM. These investments reinforce Huntington's commitment to serve the individual needs of customers.

Among the benefits offered by Corillian Voyager and e-Bank are increased functionality, flexibility, and scalability, which in turn allow Huntington to offer customers advanced, full-featured online banking services, according to Tom O'Hara senior vice president at Columbus, Ohio-based Huntington. "Corillian and e-Bank's implementation teams worked with us every step of the way as we determined the best way to improve our Web banking service. This partnership has created many opportunities for us."

Huntington partnered with Corillian and e-Bank to implement key technologies behind this new system. e-Bank gives Huntington the capability to leverage its legacy application systems by providing a customer information integration platform, which results in consistent customer experiences across all channels. Corillian delivered a state-of-the art customizable interface, which allows seamless integration with customer service and real-time information reporting. Corillian's platform helped Huntington unlock functionality that includes customer check imaging, secure messaging and same day bill payment.

"e-Bank provides Huntington with a powerful customer management solution that integrates all delivery channels, while significantly reducing IT complexity and cost," said Paul Jameson, president and CEO of e-Bank. "The successful deployment of Corillian's Voyager Web banking platform is further proof of our solution's ability to maximize the value of great channel software, while enabling enterprise-wide customer-centric delivery, efficiently and cost-effectively."

e-Bank's customer integration engine eliminates infrastructure complexity by integrating enterprise-wide information and business rules into one optimized engine focused on enabling effective customer analysis and interaction. It delivers a comprehensive, real-time picture of each customer to all delivery channels and provides one central source focused on efficient 24x7 availability and transaction handling.
