New Mobile App Helps Community Banks with Regulation and Compliance

The Independent Bankers Association of Texas released a mobile app for bankers to keep up with the latest regulatory information.

Regulatory compliance for financial institutions - now there's an app for that too. The Independent Bankers Association of Texas (IBAT) is releasing a new mobile app for community banks in Texas to stay up to date on regulations, compliance and news in financial services.

The first app ever released by a state banking association, IBAT2GO's Legal Ease section will help banks community banks access important compliance information from the convenience of their mobile devices, IBAT said in a statement. The association said that this will help community banks deal with the challenges they face in today's changing financial services regulations. The app also contains sections on news and a schedule of IBAT events, and provides information on legislative issues regarding financial services that the association is working on.

"IBAT realizes that Texas community bankers are extremely busy and often on the go. We sought to create a mobile app that could share important information in an easy-to-view format with our members at their convenience," said Chris Williston, IBAT's President and CEO, in the statement. IBAT is the largest state banking association in the country, with more than 2,000 member banks.

The IBAT2GO app can be downloaded from the Apple app store and is available for iPhones.
