BofA Offers Intuit Payroll Solution to Small Business Customers

Bank of America adds to its efforts to help small business customers by giving them access to the Intuit Full Service Payroll solution.

Bank of America is now offering its small business customers access to Intuit's Full Service Payroll, an online program that helps simplify employee payroll management. The bank's small business customers already had access to Intuit's Easy Online Payroll, a self-service program that helps calculate and process payroll.

Intuit's Full Service Payroll features smart, online error-check technology to prevent and catch errors in paychecks and payroll taxes in addition to a team of payroll experts that are available via phone, chat or e-mail to help with any payroll issues. The bank says the program will integrate fully with customers' existing online banking solutions.

"Small business owners are hit every day by a multitude of operational demands that can take their focus away from what's most important to them--serving their customers and generating more business," said Dean Athanasia, Preferred and Small Business Banking executive at Bank of America, in a release announcing the new offering. "Intuit Full Service Payroll gives small business owners peace of mind when managing payroll, so they can dedicate more time to running and growing their business."

Bank of America is offering this new payroll solution as part of its larger effort to help small businesses, which includes a commitment to hire about 1,000 small business bankers throughout the next year and a grant program created in 2010 to unlock $100 million in low-cost capital for small businesses.
