- New York Community Bancorp will convert eight traditional and 62 supermarket branches of its CFS Bank unit tothe banking platform of BISYS, Little Falls, N.J.

- Wachovia Merchant Services, Winston-Salem, N.C., is offering e-commerce transaction services from CyberSource, Mountain View, Calif.

- Concord EFS, Memphis, Tenn., owner of the MAC EFT network, has agreed to merge with Star Systems, Maitland, Fla.

- PULSE EFT, Houston, the nation's fourth-largest EFT network, has agreed to merge with Money Station, Cincinnati.

- Bank of America, Charlotte, N.C., has completed testing of its identity certification and authentication capabilities with Identrus, New York, a bank-owned trust network.

- American Express, New York, has agreed to integrate its Corporate Purchasing Card with the eBusiness Application Suite from RightWorks, San Jose, Calif.

- Providian Financial Corp. and Visa U.S.A., both of San Francisco, completed the first "smart Visa" credit card transaction, employing an embedded chip on a Visa credit card.

- Citizens First Bank, Bloomington, Ill., has introduced Internet banking services under its brand name CSBNet Banking.
